A2.02 – Lifeguard

Manpower Requirement

1 Certified Male Lifeguard - Full-time deployment at the swimming pool.

The Contractor shall provide:

• One (1) trained and certified lifeguard.
• Uniformed and licensed personnel.
• Relief staff during annual leave, sickness, or emergency absence.
• Ongoing supervision and operational support.
• Replacement personnel when required by the Skyline Livings Representative.

2. Scope of Work

The Contractor shall provide complete lifeguard services for the swimming pool facilities, including:

A. Pool Safety Supervision

• Maintain continuous surveillance of the swimming pool.
• Monitor swimmers to prevent accidents.
• Enforce pool safety rules and regulations.
• Prevent unsafe behavior around the pool.
• Restrict unauthorized access when necessary.

B. Emergency Response

The lifeguard shall:

• Respond immediately to water-related emergencies.
• Rescue swimmers in distress.
• Administer first aid and CPR when required.
• Coordinate with emergency medical services.
• Report all accidents and incidents immediately.

C. Poolside Monitoring

• Monitor pool occupancy.
• Inspect pool surroundings for hazards.
• Ensure emergency rescue equipment is available and serviceable.
• Keep emergency exits and rescue access clear.

D. Reporting

• Maintain daily attendance and activity logs.
• Record incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Submit daily, weekly, and incident reports to the Skyline Livings Representative.
• Coordinate with the Skyline Livings Representative's representative regarding operational matters.

3. Lifeguard Duties

The deployed lifeguard shall:

• Continuously observe swimmers during operating hours.
• Prevent drowning and water-related accidents.
• Perform water rescues when required.
• Provide first aid and CPR.
• Enforce pool rules.
• Warn swimmers of unsafe practices.
• Keep the pool deck safe and orderly.
• Report damaged equipment or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
• Wear the prescribed uniform and PPE.
• Comply with UAE regulations and Skyline Livings Representative policies.
• Refuse gifts or gratuities and maintain ethical conduct.
