Waste Management & Garbage Collection Services (01/01/2027-31/12/2029)

1. General Requirements

Provide comprehensive waste management and garbage collection services for the residential building in full compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, including manpower, vehicles, equipment, bins, handling, transportation, and disposal at approved facilities.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 Garbage Collection (Twice Weekly)

• Collect all municipal solid waste generated from the residential building two (2) times per week as per agreed schedule.
• Collection to include waste from:
  • Central garbage rooms
  • Garbage chute collection points
  • Designated waste holding areas
• Ensure timely collection to prevent overflow, Odor, or hygiene issues.

2.2 Waste Handling & Transfer

• Transfer waste from internal collection points to collection vehicles in a clean and hygienic manner.
• Ensure garbage is properly contained during handling and transportation.
• No spillage or littering within common areas, corridors, parking areas, or access roads.

2.3 Transportation & Disposal

• Transport collected waste using Dubai Municipality–approved vehicles.
• Dispose of waste only at Dubai Municipality–approved dumping / waste treatment facilities.
• Comply with all municipal requirements for waste tracking and disposal.

2.4 Garbage Room & Bin Area Management

• Maintain cleanliness of garbage rooms and waste holding areas during collection.
• Wash down and clean bin areas after collection if spillage occurs.
• Report damaged bins, chute issues, or hygiene concerns to building management.

2.5 Waste Segregation Support

• Support basic waste segregation as per building policy (general waste / recyclable waste).
• Ensure segregated waste is collected and disposed of appropriately.
• Educate on proper handling if instructed by management (non-resident-facing).

3. Manpower & Equipment

• Provide trained waste handling staff with appropriate PPE.
• Provide collection vehicles, trolleys, bins, and handling tools as required.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition.

4. Health, Safety & Environment

• Staff to wear proper PPE including gloves, masks, and safety shoes.
• Follow safe lifting and handling practices.
• Prevent pest attraction, Odor nuisance, and environmental contamination.
• Immediate cleanup of any spills during collection activities.

5. Compliance

• Services shall comply with:
  • Dubai Municipality waste management regulations
  • UAE health & safety laws
  • Building management rules
• Contractor responsible for obtaining all permits and approvals required for waste collection and disposal.

6. Schedule & Coordination

• Collection days and times to be coordinated with building management.
• Contractor to adhere strictly to approved collection schedule.
• Emergency or additional collections to be provided upon request (subject to agreed rates).

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of collection dates and quantities (if required).
• Provide service reports or collection logs upon request.
• Submit municipality disposal receipts/certificates when required.

8. AMC Inclusions

• Twice-weekly scheduled garbage collection.
• Transportation and disposal fees.
• Routine cleaning of waste handling areas during collection.
• Replacement manpower during absence to ensure uninterrupted service.

9. Exclusions (Unless Otherwise Specified)

• Bulk waste removal (furniture, appliances)
• Construction or demolition waste
• Hazardous or medical waste
• Deep cleaning of garbage rooms (beyond spill cleanup)
• Pest control services

10. Performance Standards

• No missed collections.
• Garbage rooms to remain clean, hygienic, and Odor-free.
• Zero complaints related to overflow, spillage, or delayed collection.
• Full compliance with Dubai Municipality inspections.
