Third Party Inspection – ELEVATOR / LIFT SYSTEMS

1. General

The Third-Party Inspection Consultant (TPIC) shall inspect, test, and certify elevator systems to ensure compliance with: (In Each 6 Months)

• EN 81 / ASME A17.1 standards
• UAE local authority requirements
• Manufacturer’s recommendations
• Approved shop drawings and specifications

2. Scope of Services

2.1 Document Review

• Approved shop drawings and layouts
• Manufacturer’s technical data sheets
• Load capacity and speed calculations
• Installation method statements
• Factory test certificates

2.2 Installation Inspection

• Lift shaft dimensions, pit depth, and headroom
• Guide rails alignment and fixing
• Machine room or MRL installation
• Hoisting machine, motor, and brake system
• Suspension ropes/belts and terminations
• Counterweight assembly
• Lift car structure, flooring, mirrors, handrails
• Landing doors, sills, and clearances

2.3 Electrical & Safety Inspection

• Control panel wiring and labelling
• Earthing and bonding
• Limit switches and safety devices
• Door interlocks and safety edges
• Emergency alarm and intercom
• Automatic Rescue Device (ARD)
• Emergency lighting and ventilation

2.4 Testing & Commissioning Witness

• No-load and full-load testing
• Speed and levelling accuracy test
• Door operation and obstruction test
• Emergency stop and alarm test
• Power failure and rescue operation test
• Fireman’s lift operation (if applicable)

2.5 Compliance Verification

• Compliance with EN 81 / ASME A17.1
• Local authority and safety code compliance
• Identification of non-conformances

2.6 Reports & Certification

• Third-Party Inspection Report
• NCR issuance and closure verification
• Final inspection certificate

• Total inspection and certification duration (up to 5 lifts):
