Garbage chute cleaning (01/01/2027-31/12/2029)

1. General

Provide an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for complete garbage chute cleaning and routine maintenance, repair, and replacement of garbage trolley/bin wheels, including all labour, supervision, tools, equipment, consumables, and minor spare parts as specified.

2. Garbage Chute Cleaning (Quarterly)

• Complete internal cleaning, washing, and sanitization of the garbage chute from top floor intake to ground floor discharge point.
• High-pressure / mechanical cleaning of internal chute walls to remove grease, sludge, food residue, and bacterial buildup.
• Application of approved disinfectant and deodorizing chemicals.
• Cleaning and disinfection of hopper doors at all floors.
• Cleaning of garbage room discharge area, floor, and surrounding walls.
• Final sanitization and Odor control to leave the chute hygienic and odour-free.

3. Garbage Chute Trolley / Bin Maintenance

• Routine inspection of garbage trolleys/bins located in garbage rooms.
• Checking condition of trolley/bin wheels (casters), brackets, bearings, and fasteners.
• Lubrication and tightening of wheel assemblies where required.
• Alignment and functional testing of trolley movement.

4. Wheel Repair & Replacement

• Repair of minor wheel defects including loose fittings, minor bearing issues, and wheel alignment.
• Replacement of damaged, broken, cracked, or non-functional wheels/casters.
• Supply and installation of standard-duty replacement wheels suitable for garbage trolleys.
• Ensure replaced wheels are properly fixed, aligned, and tested for smooth and safe operation.

Note: Contractor to include unit rates for wheel replacement in the AMC or specify number of wheels included per year.

5. Materials & Spare Parts

• Use durable, corrosion-resistant wheels suitable for wet and waste-handling environments.
• All spare parts to be compatible with existing trolley/bin models.
• Major spare parts (beyond AMC allowance), if any, to be quoted separately upon approval.

6. Safety & Hygiene

• Use of appropriate PPE during cleaning and maintenance works.
• Proper sealing of chute openings during cleaning activities.
• Safe disposal of wastewater and debris in accordance with municipality regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas during and after works.
