Scope of Work – DPS CCTV Certification Services

Objective

To obtain Dubai Police Security Systems Department (DPS) approval and certification for the CCTV surveillance system in accordance with the applicable Dubai Police security requirements and regulations.

Scope of Services

1. Site Assessment

• Conduct a physical inspection of the premises.
• Review the existing CCTV installation and system configuration.
• Identify any non-compliance with Dubai Police CCTV requirements.
• Prepare a compliance gap assessment report.

2. Design Review

• Review CCTV layout drawings and camera locations.
• Verify camera coverage, recording quality, storage capacity, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure the system complies with the latest Dubai Police technical standards.

3. Compliance Recommendations

• Provide a detailed list of required modifications or upgrades.
• Recommend camera additions, relocations, storage enhancements, or networking improvements where necessary.
• Advise on compliance with recording retention periods and image quality requirements.

4. Documentation Preparation

Prepare and compile all documentation required for DPS submission, including:

• CCTV layout drawings.
• Camera schedule.
• Equipment specifications.
• Network schematic (if applicable).
• Storage calculation.
• Compliance checklist.
• Technical reports and supporting documents.

5. DPS Application Submission

• Prepare and submit the application to the Dubai Police Security Systems Department.
• Coordinate with Dubai Police throughout the review process.
• Respond to technical comments and requests for clarification.

6. Inspection Coordination

• Schedule the Dubai Police inspection.
• Coordinate with the client and installation contractor.
• Attend the inspection (where required).
• Assist in resolving any observations raised during inspection.

7. Rectification Support

• Review inspection comments.
• Provide technical guidance for corrective actions.
• Verify completion of all required rectifications before reinspection.

8. Final Certification

• Coordinate the final approval process.
• Facilitate issuance of the Dubai Police CCTV Compliance Certificate upon successful inspection and approval.

Client Responsibilities

The Client shall:

• Provide access to the premises.
• Supply available drawings and technical documents.
• Arrange installation or rectification works where required.
• Pay all applicable Dubai Police government fees (unless specifically included in the contract).

Deliverables

• Site Assessment Report.
• Compliance Gap Report.
• CCTV Compliance Recommendations.
• Complete DPS Submission Package.
• Coordination with Dubai Police.
• Inspection Support.
• Final Dubai Police CCTV Compliance Certificate (subject to successful inspection and approval by Dubai Police).

Exclusions

Unless specifically included in the agreement, the following are excluded:

• Supply of CCTV equipment.
• Installation or replacement of cameras and accessories.
• Civil, electrical, or network works.
• Government application and approval fees.
• Annual maintenance services.
• Third-party consultant fees.
• Any additional work resulting from changes in Dubai Police regulations after contract award.
