Replacement of Cloth Shades in Car Parking & Kids Play Area

Site Survey & Assessment

  • Carry out site inspection to verify existing structural supports, connections, and dimensions.
  • Confirm that the existing frames and foundations are structurally sound and suitable for reinstallation of new shade cloths.

 Removal of Existing Shade Cloths

  • Carefully remove the old and dirty shade cloths without damaging the steel/aluminium support structures.
  • Collect and dispose of the old material as per Dubai Municipality waste management regulations.

              Supply of New Shade Cloths

  • Provide high-quality fabric (HDPE or PVC-coated polyester) with the following minimum specifications:
    • UV protection: ≥ 95% to protect vehicles and children from harmful sun rays.
    • Fire retardant: Certified and approved by Dubai Civil Defence (DCD).
    • Heat and weather resistance: Withstand extreme Dubai climate.
    • Dust resistant and easy to clean.
    • Warranty: Minimum 5–10 years for the fabric.
  • Fabric to be certified by Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) or equivalent.

           Installation of New Shade Cloths

  • Stitch and reinforce the cloth edges with double/triple seam for extra strength.
  • Install shade cloths using stainless steel eyelets, tensioning wires, and fixing accessories for durability.
  • Ensure cloths are stretched properly with no sagging or loose edges.
  • Provide child-safe finishing in the play area (no sharp edges or exposed fittings).

            Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • All works to comply with:
    • Dubai Municipality regulations for structural safety.
    • Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) requirements for fire-retardant materials.
    • Health & Safety guidelines for child play areas.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices during installation.
  • Conduct site safety checks before and after work completion.

 Final Cleaning & Handover

  • Clean the site after completion of installation.
  • Submit product data sheets, compliance certificates, and warranty documents.
  • Perform joint inspection with client before handover.

Terms & Condition

No Subcontracting: In accordance to Jointly Owned Property Law No.6,2019, Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement, the vendor/contractor may not use any subcontractor to perform any of his obligations under this work order. Unless: 

(a) Vendor has obtained the prior written consent of SAGA to the use of the subcontractor, and 

(b) Vendor has entered into a separate written agreement with the subcontractor which requires the subcontractor to agree to and abide by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 

The Community shall be deemed to be a third-party beneficiary of any such agreement between the vendor and a permitted subcontractor. 

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the vendor shall not be relieved of any of its duties or obligations under this Agreement as a result of entering into a written agreement with a permitted subcontractor.
