1. Objective

To design, supply, and install a compliant safety enclosure for a kids’ swimming pool in accordance with Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations, ensuring child safety, hygiene, accessibility, and structural integrity.

2. Applicable Standards and Guidelines

• International Safety Standards for Pool Enclosures (e.g., ASTM F1908, F2286)

3. Scope of Work Details

3.1 Site Survey & Design

• Conduct a detailed site inspection.

• Take precise measurements of the pool area.

• Prepare design drawings and shop drawings of the proposed enclosure.

• Submit designs for Dubai Municipality approval if required.

3.2 Supply of Materials

• Child-safe fencing panels (minimum 1.2m high, as per DM regulations).

• Lockable self-closing and self-latching gates.

• Non-corrosive materials suitable for poolside environments (e.g., powder-coated aluminum, tempered glass, or approved mesh fencing).

• All necessary hardware and fixings.

3.3 Installation

• Prepare foundation/base for the enclosure posts.

• Install fencing panels and gates according to approved layout.

• Ensure all gates open outward and are equipped with child-proof locking mechanisms positioned at least 1.5m above ground level.

• Ensure there are no gaps >100mm that would allow child entry or entrapment.

• All works to be supervised by a qualified site engineer.

3.4 Testing & Commissioning

• Functional testing of gates and locks.

• Safety checks and alignment of panels.

• Final walk-through with client and/or Dubai Municipality inspector (if applicable).

3.5 Handover Documentation

• As-built drawings.

• Material certificates and warranty documents.

• Maintenance manual for enclosure.

• Safety compliance certificate (if issued by DM).
