Location: Mechanical Floor - Chilled Water Pump No.1
1. Removal of Existing Faulty VFD (1 No.)
- Safely
isolate electrical supply to the existing Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
- Disconnect
all power and control wiring from the faulty unit.
- Carefully
remove the existing VFD from the panel/mounting arrangement.
- Hand
over the removed VFD as per client instructions.
2. Supply & Installation of New 30 kW VFD (ABB
ACH580) – 1 No.
- Supply
new 30 kW ABB ACH580 HVAC series VFD with appropriate ratings and
specifications.
- Inspect
mounting space and prepare the panel for installation.
- Install
the VFD securely on the existing or modified mounting arrangement.
- Ensure
proper ventilation, spacing, and safety clearances.
3. Control & Power Wiring Modification for New VFD (1
No.)
- Review
existing wiring layout and update as per new VFD requirements.
- Modify
control wiring (I/O terminals, communication, interlocks, feedback
signals, etc.).
- Upgrade
or alter power wiring including:
- Supply
input cables
- Motor
output connections
- Earthing
conductor connections
- Ensure
all wiring meets electrical standards and ABB installation guidelines.
4. Programming & Configuration of VFD as per Site Logic
(1 No.)
- Program
the ABB ACH580 VFD according to site-specific functional logic.
- Configure
parameters such as:
- Motor
data
- Start/stop
logic
- Speed
reference
- Protection
limits
- Communication
settings
- Conduct
verification of interlocks and safety features.
5. Testing & Commissioning
- Perform
pre-commissioning checks (insulation, continuity, power supply).
- Energize
the VFD and perform functional testing with motor.
- Verify:
- Correct
rotation
- Speed
control
- Load
response
- Trip
conditions and safety functions
- Conduct
performance trials under actual operating conditions.
- Handover
commissioning report to the Building Management.
Terms & Condition
No Subcontracting: In accordance to Jointly Owned Property Law No.6,2019, Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement, the vendor/contractor may not use any subcontractor to perform any of his obligations under this work order. Unless:
(a) Vendor has obtained the prior written consent of SAGA to the use of the subcontractor, and
(b) Vendor has entered into a separate written agreement with the subcontractor which requires the subcontractor to agree to and abide by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
The Community shall be deemed to be a third-party beneficiary of any such agreement between the vendor and a permitted subcontractor.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the vendor shall not be relieved of any of its duties or obligations under this Agreement as a result of entering into a written agreement with a permitted subcontractor.
