Detailed Scope of Work – Pipeline Disinfection (Yearly Contract)

1. Service Frequency

• Half-yearly disinfection (2 times per year) as per the standard requirement for domestic water pipelines in Dubai or as required.
• Emergency disinfection may be carried out if contamination is detected.

2. Preparation & Flushing

• Initial flushing with plain water to remove suspended solids, rust, and sediment.
• Ensures the system is clean before chemical dosing.

3. Chemical Disinfection

• Chlorination using sodium hypochlorite or equivalent disinfectant.
• Chlorine levels are maintained as per DM during dosing.
• Contact time is monitored to ensure effective microbial kill.

4. Sampling & Testing

• Water samples collected from multiple points in the pipeline network (entry, mid, and end points).
• Microbiological analysis (E. coli, coliforms, Legionella, etc.) and chemical analysis (chlorine residual, turbidity).
• Reports submitted to the client and, if required, to Dubai Municipality.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Service reports after each disinfection cycle, including:
• Methodology used
• Chlorine levels achieved
• Lab test results
• Corrective actions (if any)
• Annual summary report for compliance and record-keeping.

6. Consumables & Spare Parts

• All PPM consumables (chemicals, testing kits, safety gear) included in the contract.
• Replacement of minor fittings (if required) to ensure proper disinfection.

7. Health & Safety Compliance

• Work carried out in line with Dubai Municipality guidelines and UAE health standards.
• Staff equipped with PPE, and chemical handling procedures strictly followed.
