Scope of Work - Yearly Contract for Gas System Maintenance

1. Objective

To ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the gas distribution system through preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance services over a 12‑month period.

2. Services Covered

Ø  Preventive Maintenance

• Scheduled inspection of gas pipelines, valves, regulators, meters, and fittings.
• Leak detection using approved methods (gas detectors, pressure drop tests).
• Calibration of pressure regulators and safety devices.
• Cleaning and lubrication of mechanical components.
• Verification of compliance with local safety codes and standards.

Ø  Corrective Maintenance

• Repair or replacement of faulty valves, regulators, and meters.
• Pipeline repair (minor welding, joint sealing, corrosion treatment).
• Replacement of worn-out gaskets, seals, and fittings.
• Rectification of identified leaks or pressure irregularities.

Ø  Emergency Response

• 24/7 availability for emergency call-outs.
• Immediate isolation of affected sections in case of leaks or failures.
• Temporary and permanent repair solutions.
• Coordination with civil defense and relevant authorities during incidents.

Ø  Testing & Reporting

• Annual pressure testing of pipelines.
• Gas quality checks (odorization, contamination monitoring).
• Submission of monthly maintenance reports.
• Annual summary report with recommendations for system upgrades.

3. Deliverables

• Monthly Inspection Reports (detailing findings, corrective actions, and compliance status).
• Annual Performance Report (system health, risk assessment, and upgrade recommendations).
• Emergency Incident Reports (within 24 hours of occurrence).
