Elevator Interior Enhancement Works

1. Objective

To enhance the visual appeal, functionality, and user experience of the elevator interior by upgrading finishes, fixtures, and accessories, while ensuring durability, accessibility, and compliance with applicable codes (e.g., Dubai Municipality).


2. Scope of Work

2.1 Removal and Preparation

  • Dismantle and remove existing interior finishes:

    • Wall panels

    • Ceiling and lighting

    • Handrails

    • Mirrors (if applicable)

  • Clean and prepare the cabin surfaces for installation of new finishes


2.2 Wall Panel System

  • Supply and install new modular or custom-fitted wall panels using durable, fire-rated materials such as:

    • Stainless steel (hairline/brushed/mirror)

    • Laminate

    • Wood veneer

    • Decorative glass or back-painted glass

  • Optional: Anti-fingerprint or antimicrobial coating for high-touch surfaces


2.3 Ceiling and Lighting

  • Supply and install new elevator ceiling panel with integrated LED lighting

  • Light fixtures to provide uniform, glare-free illumination with high energy efficiency

  • Optional: Cove lighting or ambient LED edge lighting


2.4 Handrails and Accessories

  • Install new stainless steel, aluminum, or wooden handrails (single or double)

  • Optional accessories:

    • Anti-vandal corner guards


2.5 Mirror Installation (if applicable)

  • Supply and install full or half-height mirror panels on rear or side walls

  • Safety-backed and tempered to meet code

  • Edge polishing or framed finish as per design


2.6 Operating Panel Interface Finishing (Optional)

  • Cosmetic enhancement of the Car Operating Panel (COP) frame:

    • Re-cladding

    • Brushed metal overlay

    • Panel face customization (if allowed by elevator code and OEM)


3. Deliverables

  • Completed elevator cabin interior ready for use

  • Year/s warranty on workmanship and materials

  • Maintenance and cleaning guidelines

  • As-built interior design drawings or visual mockups (if applicable)


4. Design

  • Open to new interior designs/options for Management Approval

Terms & Condition

No Subcontracting: In accordance to Jointly Owned Property Law No.6,2019, Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement, the vendor/contractor may not use any subcontractor to perform any of his obligations under this work order. Unless: 

(a) Vendor has obtained the prior written consent of SAGA to the use of the subcontractor, and 

(b) Vendor has entered into a separate written agreement with the subcontractor which requires the subcontractor to agree to and abide by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 

The Community shall be deemed to be a third-party beneficiary of any such agreement between the vendor and a permitted subcontractor. 

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the vendor shall not be relieved of any of its duties or obligations under this Agreement as a result of entering into a written agreement with a permitted subcontractor.
