Wooden Paint Works - Entrance, Pergola, Furniture, Fence Around The Pool & Parking Shade

Scope of Work:

1. Surface Preparation

  • Clean all wooden surfaces to remove dirt, dust, grease, mildew, and old paint or varnish.

  • Sand surfaces thoroughly to smoothen and open wood grain for better adhesion.

  • Remove any loose, chipped, or peeling paint using hand tools or sanding machines.

  • Fill cracks, nail holes, or surface imperfections with wood filler and sand smooth.

  • Ensure surfaces are completely dry and free from moisture before painting.


2. Priming (If Required)

  • Apply a suitable wood primer or sealer, especially for bare or porous wood surfaces.

  • Primer should be compatible with the type of paint or wood stain to be used.

  • Allow adequate drying and curing time before applying topcoats.


3. Painting / Staining Works

  • Apply high-quality, weather-resistant paint or wood stain suitable for exterior wooden surfaces.

  • Paint/stain should offer UV protection, moisture resistance, and be easy to maintain.

  • Use appropriate tools (brush, roller, or spray) based on area and surface design.

  • Apply 2 coats (minimum) to achieve an even, durable, and aesthetic finish.

  • Color and finish (matte, satin, or gloss) to be approved by the client prior to execution.


4. Area Protection & Safety

  • Cover nearby surfaces, floors, landscaping, and pool areas to protect from paint splatter.

  • Ensure proper ventilation during painting, especially for solvent-based products.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols (use of PPE, secure ladders/scaffolding, etc.).


5. Post-Painting Cleanup

  • Remove all masking and protective coverings after paint is fully dry.

  • Clean any spills, drips, or overspray from surrounding areas.

  • Proper disposal of used materials, containers, and waste in an eco-friendly manner.


6. Final Inspection & Touch-Ups

  • Conduct thorough visual inspection in coordination with the client or representative.

  • Address any areas needing touch-up or correction.

  • Ensure uniformity in color, texture, and finish across all painted wooden elements.

Terms & Condition

No Subcontracting: In accordance to Jointly Owned Property Law No.6,2019, Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement, the vendor/contractor may not use any subcontractor to perform any of his obligations under this work order. Unless: 

(a) Vendor has obtained the prior written consent of SAGA to the use of the subcontractor, and 

(b) Vendor has entered into a separate written agreement with the subcontractor which requires the subcontractor to agree to and abide by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 

The Community shall be deemed to be a third-party beneficiary of any such agreement between the vendor and a permitted subcontractor. 

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the vendor shall not be relieved of any of its duties or obligations under this Agreement as a result of entering into a written agreement with a permitted subcontractor.
