External Building Painting Including External Walls

Scope:

  • Surface Preparation:

    • Cleaning of the exterior surfaces to remove dirt, dust, and any loose paint.

    • Scraping and sanding to smooth out rough areas and ensure proper adhesion of the new paint.

  • Priming:

    • Application of primer to bare surfaces to promote adhesion and enhance the durability of the topcoat.

  • Paint Application:

    • Application of high-quality exterior paint using brushes, rollers, or sprayers as appropriate.

    • Multiple coats may be necessary to achieve the desired finish and durability.

  • Detail Work:

    • Painting of trim, doors, windows, and other architectural details with careful attention to neatness and precision.

  • Cleanup and Protection:

    • Proper protection of surrounding areas from paint splatters.

    • Cleanup of all debris and leftover materials after the job is completed.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Inspection of the finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer expectations.

    • Touch-ups if needed to address any imperfections.

  • Safety Measures:

    • Adherence to safety protocols to protect both workers and residents during the painting process.

    • Use of appropriate equipment and materials to minimize risks.

  • Documentation:

    • Providing documentation such as warranties, paint specifications, and maintenance guidelines

    Terms & Condition

    No Subcontracting: In accordance to Jointly Owned Property Law No.6,2019, Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement, the vendor/contractor may not use any subcontractor to perform any of his obligations under this work order. Unless: 

    (a) Vendor has obtained the prior written consent of SAGA to the use of the subcontractor, and 

    (b) Vendor has entered into a separate written agreement with the subcontractor which requires the subcontractor to agree to and abide by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 

    The Community shall be deemed to be a third-party beneficiary of any such agreement between the vendor and a permitted subcontractor. 

    Notwithstanding the foregoing, the vendor shall not be relieved of any of its duties or obligations under this Agreement as a result of entering into a written agreement with a permitted subcontractor.
